I am offering one of my favorite guitars of all time my 1966 Gibson Trini Lopez ES 335 double cutaway . This guitar is actually a 1966 Trini Lopez signature deluxe,they were made between 1964 1971 they featured double-cut archtop, pointed horns, diamond sound holes. Body & Hardware: 16 inch laminated maple hollow body double pointed cutaways tune-o- matic bridge, trapeze tailpiece with raised diamond model name on wood tailpiece insert bound pickguard triple-bound top and back cherry Sunburst finish. Neck: bound fingerboard and pigheaded/diamond inlay six-on-a side tuner arrangement no peg head ornament. Pickups & Controls: two hamburger pick ups for knobs three-way pick up selector in treble cutaway bout, standby switch on bass cutaway bout. 302 were produced between 1964 &1970. I have owned this guitar for several years now, when I originally bought it,it had a repaired crack at the heel of the headstock. I am fortunate enough to know about the luthiers at Third Coast Guitar in Chicago and had them re-do the repair and do a fret job on it. If I don't mention this you would not be able to tell. Their craftsmanship is outstanding.The finish of the body is heavily checked and split from aging the color and shine are brilliant. The wood of the body is crack and split free just finish Checking. The Trini Lopez tailpiece is in great shape which alone is hard to find. If I am correct in thinking that this guitar was made in 1966 it is in amazing shape for a 51-year-old guitar. It's a hollow body, so it has some vibration unplugged or plugged in it's sounds great. The original pick ups sound great. It comes with its original hardshell case that is a little bit rough on the outside and has a spot on the interior, but is in good overall shape, the humidifier, that I keep in the guitar and a high-quality soldier padded leather strap. I only ship to the lower 48 states! USA only!
