RARE Exceptional Lionel Colon Rivera Flamenco: First, I am unable to find anything regarding the luthier Lionel Rivera ( Puerto Rican?) but our regulars know how many fine guitars have gone through our shop :-). Please, if any of you are familiar with this luthier, we would love to learn more. The inside label reads Instrumentos de Cuerdas, par Lionel Colon Rivera, Luthier #2, anno 07. This is an exceptional piece with fine workmanship and is a joy to play that would compare favorably to any of our better pieces. . It appears to be an all solid wood instrument that has beautiful fancy binding throughout, an ebony? fretboard, bone nut, and deluxe tuners. Has clear golpeadores protecting top. Basic measurements are apx (used a ruler) 650mm scale, 53mm at nut, 62mm at 12th fret, 275 across shoulders, 365 at lower bout, 90 deep at top of body and 97 at bottom. As the pictures show, it is in beautiful condition with only very light play wear. The neck is sweet and it plays easy in all positions. When we received it, even with the old strings, it was near perfect pitch. I just cleaned and restrung it with a new set of D’Adarion Pro Arte Hard Tension EJ46-3D strings and am enjoying playing them in. Includes a nice TKL hard case to keep it warm and happy :-)..As with all our fine instruments, we understand the bond between player and instrument and always offer a 14 day play/return policy with No restocking fee.
