Hamilton Custom, 60's electric guitar This is a very high quality guitar. It was possibly associated with DeArmond or Gretsch guitars, having a DeArmond Dynasonic pickup, and only a hand full were made so it is rare.    It has not been cleaned or polished out of purpose. It has been inspected and the strings were replaced.  The guitar was designed and made with a futuristic style for this era.The body and neck appear to be made of a solid dark brown wood species of wood that ebay seems to not allow mentioning at this time of describing , but many Les Pauls were also made of this same wood (I believe because GSP does not allow to mention).  The neck has a thick slab fret board of another un allowed to mention wood, like the old Fenders.  The fret board and original vintage thin fret wire is in excellent condition, with an unusual and comfortable curved radius to it. Also Grover butter bean key tuners like some old Gibsons. The guitar and matching headstock are finished in Lacquer that is Fiesta Red in color, as some of the old custom color Stratocaster, Jazzmaster, Jazz and P-basses were. This original finish is cracking, chipping and peeling in some areas, but the wood is not cracked or repaired.  The single layer white beveled pick guard has a full aluminum shield under it.Both the Vol and Tone pots are stacked pots.  The original vtg. pickup is marked "De Armond, Rowe Industries Toledo, O. USA REG.U.S. PAT. OFF". The selector switch tip is missing. The switch selects to 2 positions, rhythm and lead. Potentiometers and switch were sprayed and cleaned and work as intended. As made, the neck bolts, strap pins and string tree screws are slotted head screws. The guitar plays very well and sounds good. NOTE: Three of the pics show flatwoutwound strings. I replaced these (original?)  flat wound strings and installed a set of regular wound 11's. (Kept the old flat wound stringd in the case pocket) The case is the original Lifton hard shell case with leather ends and leather handle, with gold velvet lining. Interior appears to have been a custom fitted interior to this guitar by Lifton, with body bumpers fitting the unique contours. The old cord still works well, and vintage ACE strap with original case keys kept in the pocket are included.
