Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul 54 Reissue Gibson's Custom Guitar Works in Nashville Tennessee does all the electric guitars for the hundred year old firm. A select group of inspired artisans carry on Gibson's century-old tradition of creating exquisite, investment quality instruments that represent the highest
standards of imaginative design and masterful craftsmanship The Les Paul Standards of 1958-’60 may grab most of the attention, but for some of the true tone hounds out there, the 1954 Les Paul Model embodies raw blues and rock'n'roll more than any other guitar on the planet. From Carl Perkins' recordings of “Honey Don't” and “Blue Suede Shoes” to Freddie King's “Hideaway”, a Les Paul was there, rippin’ it up and making musical history in the process. Two screaming P-90 pickups, a wraparound bridge, and a Sunburst finish—that's all that plenty of legendary players ever needed to get the job done, and it's all packed in here in greater detail than ever before in the1954 Les Paul Sunburst Reissue from Gibson's Custom Shop. The thin Vintage Red Gloss finish is wet sanded by hand for a vintage style look and feel. Softer vintage edge profiles throughout, including the fingerboard edges and body binding edges give the guitar an extremely comfortable feel. This Les Paul features a chambered body. The woodyier or more earthy tones of a chambered guitar can add another color to your musical palate, and are quite desirable. As you can see, the chambering adds a "chamber" to help accentuate resonance. This Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul is in Great Condition with some light surface scratches on the top and headstock as well as very light buckle rash on the back of the guitar. We have attempted to capture some of this in the detailed photos posted below. Includes Hardshell Case.Features :
