This listing is for a Bryston 10B Active Crossover. While the labeling on the unit itself does not call it out as a "SUB" crossover, the front panel crossover points are all low frequency, specifically for subwoofer use. This unit was part of an exceptional high end set of gear I recently purchased from the original owner. The original owner used this unit to control a pair of amplifiers dedicated to a very high end set of subwoofers. The User Manual and Warranty Card are included with this listing as well, however it is no longer covered by the original warranty. The User Manual describes the various setup methods in detail.Based on the various date codes I located (pictures included), it seems this unit was manufactured between 1988 and 1992, and like all Bryston components it is built like a TANK. It literally feels like you're picking up a solid slab of steel. I removed the top cover for the sake of taking pictures only. I am not a technician therefore I would never attempt to clean or tamper with the inside of a high end unit such as this. If you are not familiar with this unit, you can find all sorts of reviews and comments about them on the web, I won't try to sum it all up in this description except to say that this is a very nice piece of gear.Being a vintage unit, there are a few things to note: - Shallow scratches/scuffs to the top and bottom of the unit (see pictures), all other surfaces are in excellent condition.- The mode selection switch on the back of the unit works, but you need to be very deliberate with the switch, pushing it into the desired STEREO/MONO setting which then lights up the corresponding light on the front panel. Once you have the switch properly positioned, the front panel light indicates the selected mode then it's fine. This is typically not adjusted after the inital setup anyway.- When turning knobs from point to point you will hear a little scratchy/static, but once they are set they are silent. These little issues are certainly repairable, and Bryston is an excellent company to work with if you care to have them go through and freshen the unit up, but it is quite usable as is. It did have a 20 year warranty however it is no longer covered.I have a perfect feedback score so you can purchase with confidence!
