This is a Standard Suhr guitar (Strat model)Gorgeous Transparent Teal finish (teal is a deep blue greenish type of color)The wood combination is what John Suhr calls "The Holy Grail of guitar sound": Basswood body with maple top and maple neck. The quilt maple top is gorgeousThe neck is maple with Indian Rosewood fretboard. The combination basswood with maple top gives a nice, even balance all across the frequency spectrum. The highs, mids and bass are all nicely balanced. The nut and bridge are Floyd Rose. Super stable tuning. Never goes out of tune. You can do crazy whammy bar dive bombs, and you'll nicely stay in tune. The gears/tuning mechanisms are Sperzel locking. This makes changing strings super easy and further enhances tuning stability. You just put the string through the hole, tighten/roll the wheel/screw to lock the string into the mechanism, and your string can't slip out the mechanism anymore while you're tightening the string. 2 JST (Suhr) V60's single coils and a DiMarzio Fred humbucker. The DiMarzio Fred humbucker is the same humbucker Joe Satriani has been using for many years on all his guitars. It gets you all these cool screaming harmonics haha. The tone knob on the guitar is wired as a push pull. When you pull the tone knob out, the humbucker pick up is split to a single coil. So you really actually have 3 single coils and a humbucker on this guitar… .and as such, way more tonal variations than on most any other guitar. White pearl pick guard. This guitar has the Buzz Feiten system. John Suhr no longer implements this on his guitars, and I wish he would.   :) All top guitarists from Steve Vai to Satriani to Paul Gilbert and so on, all use the Buzz Feiten system. It's a recalibration of the fret positions that make the guitar sound much better in tune all across the guitar neck. Google Buzz Feiten tuning to learn more about this. it makes a big difference: the intonation on this guitar is wonderful. I played this guitar for many years over multiple continents, and as such of course, there are some cosmetic blemishes. I have added photos of the blemishes. Good news is that the blemishes are all in "lesser important" locations on guitar or locations that are less visible, like the back of the guitar etc. Meaning: 1) the front of the guitar body, apart from 10-15 tiny little pits in the finish at the bottom of the guitar, is gorgeous and 2) the guitar neck is in perfect conditionThe guitar was also recently refretted en plecked (by Suhr) with stainless steel frets… so you're good for prob about 10 years of daily heavy playing as far as the frets go. Also: Suhr guitars are so stable, you will never have to "get a set up". I never needed to have any of my 3 Suhrs set up, and as one of the top busiest guitar teachers in Los Angeles, I play my Suhrs many hours a day, every day. The blemishes are located: 1) as you can see on the photo of the headstock, there are 2 chips of paint blemishes on the head stock. 2) a minor chip on the underside/edge of the guitar where the input jack is. 3) the normal wear and tear on the back of the guitar, due to belt buckles, and a crack in the finish on the back of the guitar running from above the white back cover plate towards the sloped lower cutaway.  4) as mentioned above, there are a number of very small pits in the front Teal finish located at the lower bridge side of the guitar body. They're all kind located in that same area. As you can tell from the body photos above, you can't see them very well. But they are there, and these little blemishes become a bit more visible when the light hits the guitar body a certain way. There is no damage to the finish, they're just minor, superficial, little pits/indents in the finish. Apart from these purely cosmetic blemishes on the head stock and back of the guitar, this guitar plays and sounds perfect. That is also the reason of course why I am selling this guitar at a much lower (actually about half the) price than you usually would pay for a Suhr. I've been playing 30 years now, and I can tell you: Suhr is the absolute best guitar builder. There is nothing like playing a Suhr. It's like driving a Ferrari or a Porsche. Ever since I started playing Suhr guitars in 2002, (this was my first Suhr), I completely lost all interest in playing any other guitars. :) The reason why I am selling btw, is that I currently have 3 Suhr guitars, and every once in a while I like downsizing to unclutter my life and my mind. :) I don't "need" 3 Suhr guitars haha. Of course: this guitar comes with the original Suhr guitar case and the fretboard protector cover Suhr always ship their guitars with.  Happy bidding. Hit me up anytime if you have any questions. Vreny
I just noticed that the shipping on the actual page shows as somwhere around $13. However when I posted this auction, the shipping settings said this "Buyer pays: $13.54 - $143.90 (depending on how far you ship it)"I wanted to add that info here because I find it misleading on the part of eBay that they would not mention this on the actual posted ad. So more than likely your shipping will be higher if you are located further away from LA. Please keep that in mind that your shipping could be more than $100 to avoid all misunderstandings or unnecessary discussions.
