Description
Exact Year: 1923 Body Type: Parlor

1923 Supertone Parlor Guitar Natural Spruce Well it doesn't get much cooler than this.. An early 1920's pre war depression era, top of the line, Supertone Parlor guitar! Having beautiful mother of pearl orniments all along the face of the body, and around the sound hole. Star in lays in the neck and intricate head stock inlays. The back is inlaid with a wide stripe of fancy woods. It was made to be both high grade for tone and appearance. There are currently two others of these for sale, one is in need of serious work, and the other is $2000, which might seem like a lot, but if this was a 1923 Martin with these types of features it would be 20 times that.. There's not a lot of these out there either way.. and that's probably for two reasons. One, it's almost 100 years old, and not many have survived, and also because of how amazing these things are! This guitar has a rich tone that you just can't get anywhere.. it has had all the work done needed to restore the guitar to a very playable. The action is just as it should be and the bridge sits nice and flat. It's a great antique vintage guitar that anyone could love and enjoy for years to come. It comes with the original case and a vintage magazine clipping, the "trap door" case is in rough shape, but is original to the guitar. Message me with any questions!
