Up for sale, a G&L ASAT Deluxe Semi-Hollow electric guitar in excellent condition and perfect working order. With the ASAT Deluxe Semi-Hollow, G&L takes the iconic ASAT into humbucker territory while retaining the feel and playability that have made the ASAT a perennial favorite among players. Essentially a fusion of Fullerton and Kalamazoo, the Deluxe features Seymour Duncan '59 and JB humbuckers housed in a premium flame maple top over mahogany body with cream binding. The Deluxe Semi-Hollow's chambered body brings a certain hi-fi quality to the tone, softening the attack and slightly scooping the mids for accentuated highs and lows. Adding to the elegance of the design, both the bridge and Bigsby are seated in specially carved recesses in the top, which does wonders for increasing the break angle, sustain, and responsiveness of the vibrato. And at only 7lbs 4oz, this G&L is easy on the back, with a lively and nuanced acoustic tone that is beautifully captured by the Duncan humbuckers. Here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, we've dialed in this ASAT with 10-46 strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation.The one-piece maple neck has a medium C shape that feels quick, thanks in part to the smooth gun oil finish, which has a bit more luster than your typical "satin" look and really makes the dense figuring stand out across the entire profile and headstock. The nut width measures 1 11/16" nut width and the rosewood fretboard boasts a 9.5" radius, pearloid dot position markers, black side dots, and 22 Jescar 57110 medium-jumbo frets that are in immaculate condition, showing virtually no play wear whatsoever. The headstock has an understated G&L ASAT decal, a single string tree on the B and E strings, and a set of G&L branded tuning machines which turn very smoothly.The mahogany body is capped by a beautifully flamed, bookmatched maple top with a vibrant transparent orange finish that is very reminiscent of classic Gretsch finishes. The top has single-ply cream binding, a single F-hole, black pickup surrounds with uncovered Seymour Duncan humbuckers, and a Bigsby B5 vibrato tailpiece which has been inset into the maple top. Electronically, everything functions as it should, with the dual humbuckers wired to master Volume and Tone knobs, a three way pickup selector, and a mini toggle which controls the coil tap function of the pickups allowing you to run in single coil or humbucking mode. This guitar is in fabulous cosmetic shape, and aside from a stray, very minor scratch or two in the clear coat, there isn't any wear worth mentioning.
