Hello fellow music lover. This listing is for a 1950's, which I believe from research to be between 1950 - 1952 Fender Champion Lap Steel. This was given to me as a gift from the former owners daughter. The father of my friend actually played this in clubs in the 50's in the Maryland area. He passed and my friend was moving away and decided to give this to me as a parting gift thinking I would learn to play it. 10 years later I still have it in my music room and I just don not have the time to learn the instrument. It 's been neat to plug it in and mess with it,but no time to get serious. It has the original case which as you can see has some miles and character. The steel is in great shape and it also has the original slide.. I feel kinda of bad selling it, but there is another guitar I really want instead which I will play It's a Takamine EG523 CDX. The Lap steel will find better company with someone who can create great tunes with it. You know to a musician, we either call our instruments kids, as in my case or ladies but they have to be shown love. Happy Bidding!
