Previous owner bought new in 2004, and I've had it for a few months.  Wonderful guitar with great sustain all across the strings.  Sounds sweet with picking or light strumming -- not a hard banger guitar.  I am selling because the spec's listed it as a V-neck, but it is not -- much thinner and C-neck.  Also, unlike the newer Blues Kings, this one is a 25.5 scale (not the Gibson 24.9 scale), and all natural in color.  The nut and string spacing are the standard slightly less than 1 3/4".  Comes with the Gibson hard case (guitar origionally sold with a gig bag, so the factory Gibson hard case is a bonus). This Gibson L-00 Montana Blues King Natural Acoustic Guitar is in Excellent condition, with the exception of a slightly bowed top and angled bridge. There is a very small ding on the top near the pick guard.  One of the glue joints (not a crack) shows on the back of the head.  Measures .080 and .100 (that is 5/64" and 3/32") at the 12th fret -- so it is very playable but could be lower.  Neck is straight and no buzzing.  About 1/32" nut left to lower.  There are two ways I know of to lower the action if you like it really low.  I am probably being too fussy here -- most people probably won't notice anything wrong -- never the less my starting price reflects this issue.  1- With lots of bridge height, shave down the bridge and nut.  Or, 2- use the heat, water, clamping method to press the top back into shape.  I would do the second method but decided to sell instead since I am not fond of the neck shape.  Made in the United States.  Will ship with the origional truss rod cover and strap button (not the ones shown in some pictures).  There is also an extra new saddle.  Strings are new D'Addario Phosphor Bronze .010-.047 Extra Light.  This was the first remake of the original. This series came out in late 1990s 2000.
