Custom pair of Consecutive Serial # Mastering Lab vacuum-tube line-stage mastering amplifiers designed by Sherwood SaxTested and in good working order with NOS tubesSerial #142, 143According to the chief tech, the Mastering Labs Line amps are transformerless & single ended... for minimum signal path / highest fidelity presumably. There's a unity trim & calibrated ½db steps with +20db/-12db total. Likely used for unity & stereo trim & gain make up... but the single ended tube circuit does have some "fairy dust" character There's both pin2 hot & pin3 hot outputs too, which can be useful.
