MK Music Instruments proudly announces a major sale of some of the most valuable musical instruments from our private collection. We have to sell best gear in order to finance a studio upgrade, so do not forget to check other items as well. We are selling some of our best guitars and amps, and there are some still to come. ATTENTION! 1965 VOX JMI AC30 TOP BOOST MODEL This gorgeous example is the holy grail of amplification. I do not think there is a better sounding AC30 than Jennings Musical Industries AC30 Top Boost. This is where Vox amps reached their top.The amp is basically 100% original, except for a couple of capacitors. Both speakers are original Celestions Grey Alnico G12 with Pulsonic cones H1777 in great shape. Legend has it that the Pulsonic factory burned down in late 1973 and with it went the magic formula for making those sweet sounding cones. Even by today nobody has successfully managed to replicate them. Both speakers are true match with date codes 29DK, which stands for October 1965, and the stamp T1088 at the gasket. Both comes with original JMI labelThis beauty works without any issues and very quietly. Comes with original “Egg” Vox Vibrato /Tremolo footswitch controller. This is a Top Boost model with chassis stamp AC30/6, SER NO. 11128 and TB is stamped at the other end of the chassis. The serial No. at the back plate says 19634.All transformers are original too. We are the original owners of this amp, actually my father purchased 2 of them it in London back in December 1965 and we’ll keep one. Every since that date it has been loving amp in our family and we always took good care of it. It was mostly used for recording in a smoke-free studio, but has seen some stages too. My technician has checked the amp last week and put matched quad of EL84 tubes in it. All works perfectly well. We'll also include the original Vox vinyl amp cover as pictured.THE SOUNDThis amp growl ! The sound is incredibly dynamic, touch sensitive with smooth tube saturation and glassy clarity that has made this amp one of the most sought after of all times. This amp delivers both the detailed cleans and midrange rich tube overdrive. The vibrato and tremolo is outstanding too. The treble and bass controles are so effective, getting extreme tone variations. The sparkling hights can be completely tamed by „cut“ control and the bottom can get very full, just amazing. This amp sure does love a Strat in particular. All the twang plus all the power, all at the same time. The bottom end is probably the most impressive aspect, very full but well-defined, though you can pull out all the harmonic squeals you need, if you want them. This is your chance to own a real amazing piece of British rock history in the original and fantastic condition.PAYMENT AND SHIPPING - We accept PayPal, but welcome wire transfer, WU or any other way of payment.
