This listing is for a quality vintage 4/4 professional level bow branded HILL & SONS. A retired friend has asked me to sell this bow. It is an antique bow, there are no cracks or repairs. The bow is arrow straight, and the screw/button turns well. The length of the bow is 72. 5 cm excluding the screw. The bow weighs 64. 4 grams and plays very well. The # 1 is engraved on the silver tip face and 'L29' is marked on the wood near the frog (see pics). #1 Hill bows were made by Arthur Copley (1903-1976). I believe it makes an excellent violin bow, very comfortable, and it would also suit a violist who prefers a lighter bow. It plays very well, is strong, arrow straight, and is an excellent quality bow. Produces a good tone and effortless technique for a variety of bow strokes. The bow screw/winder works perfectly well.
