STEINWAY & SONS GRAND PIANO MODEL B BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN 1872 post Rococo style This fine Steinway Grand Piano was rebuilt around 40 years ago, and plays and sounds very nice considering the age of the instrument    This is a Beautiful 1872 Victorian Steinway & Sons Model B Grand Piano in Ebony (Semi-concert Grand 7 octave, 6' 8" long, sometimes referred to as a Style II). The special Victorian features include beautifully turned, fluted and ornately carved legs with exquisite fretwork carved music rack and turned and fluted pedal lyre.      This classic Steinway appears to have been rebuilt about 40 years ago. Newer parts that were installed at that time include strings, pins and action parts. The original soundboard was not replaced in the rebuild and it has quite a few cracks but these have been anchored and stabilized and the tone is very good, with no buzzes or rattles. The piano was also refinished at the same time, but now the finish is worn with quite a few small dings and scratches and in need of finishing.    This would be the perfect Victorian Steinway to invest in and be able to play and use as-is, with an eye to having a complete restoration done sometime in the future. The wood on this appears to be fine Brazilian Rosewood under the ebonized finish so there may be a choice of rosewood or ebony in a finish restoration.  The original keytops have been replaced so there would be no worries about restricted materials on this one that might pose a problem in international or even interstate shipping. At this low price the piano is as-is, no returns!   I WILL CONSIDER BEST OFFERS. Serial # 25358  SOLD AS IS. WHERE IS. NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS.
