FOR SALE....... Antique VEGA STYLE M TUBAPHONE TENOR BANJO w/CASE.The banjo has authentic normal aged wear & tear for an instrument this age....made 1920s (judging by its identification number 83087 it is from the later part of the period), in Boston, Mass.In great shape for its age, but see pictures for minor damages (see pictures closely). The fret board has a small piece chipped off. There is a small scratch/crack as pictured on the back edge and the painted finish has flaked. Still great playing shape and asked a professional who assured me repairs were minor. As is in pictures so view closely and ask any questions.Several strings are included and the bridge is still good.And specifically, the Tu-Ba-Phone Style M is well-known for its loud warm tone and excellent clarity. Perfect for Celtic music, Vega Style M banjos have often been seen converted to 5-string instruments as well. But this 4-string tenor has not been converted and is in amazing condition for an instrument approaching 90 years of age! This is an incredible playing vintage instrument that is ready to keep picking until it reaches way beyond the age of 100!Case is not original.Any questions please ask. All offers considered!
