A next-generation version of the popular MPC2000, it offers a host of added features that make it even easier to use: a Next Sequence key, 2 bank keys, Track Mute key, hinged LCD display, multi-program playback, device naming, and folder file management. Like the original, it features sixteen-bit stereo sampling, 32-voice polyphony, 2MB of RAM (expandable to 32MB using standard SIMMs). You get a memory capacity for 256 sounds, and its 64-track sequencer has been expanded from 100,000 notes to 300,000. Other features include linear or pattern recording, powerful sequence editing, and the MPC's unique Note Variation slider for realtime note-by-note control of level, tuning, attack, decay, or filter—while you're recording or in a second pass. 2 independent MIDI inputs and 2 MIDI outputs make it right at home in the most elaborate MIDI studio.
