We have to sell best gear in order to finance a studio upgrade, so do not forget to check other items as well. We are selling some of our best guitars and amps, and there are some still to come. ATTENTION! 1965 FENDER BASSMAN BLACKFACE AA165 MODEL This is great sounding true Fender Blackface Amp in perfect working condition. The amp is basically 100% original. We own it for last 25 years and we acquired it from its original owner. This baby works without any issues and very quietly. This is an original AA165 circuit with chassis stamp A11830. All transformers are original too with code numbers: 606-545, 606-5-47, 606 543, which all date from 43-47 week of 1965. All codes at chassis, transformers and pots date 1965. A tube chart code is OL which stands for December 1965 when the amp has been manufactured. It was mostly used for recording in a smoke-free studio, but has seen some stages too. My technician has checked the amp last week and put matched pair of MESA 6L6 tubes in it. The amp operates at 110V US current. All works perfectly well. See vintage blue caps which sound perfectly. THE SOUND This amp nails the 60's Blackface tone, with clarity and fullness! The sound is very dynamic, touch sensitive with smooth creamy tube saturation. This amp delivers both the detailed cleans and rich tube overdrive. The controles are very effective, getting nice tone variations. It is great base for adding your pedals, the amp simply loves them. There is no tone which you cannot get with it, great for recording. Very quite too. And still each tone rings through clearly, even with havyly distorted pedals. Rich overtone harmonics when crancked and when volume turned down it cleans beutifully, like it has a natural chorus in the sound. Simply great sounding amp.
