This is an extremely rare 1974 Cherry Red Gibson Les Paul Custom with its original finish with it's top faded to watermelon red and the back, sides and neck faded to mahogany. Do not mistake this with the more common Wine Red, this is a Cherry Red finish. It features the classic early 70's specifications, namely a three piece mahogany neck, mahogany sandwich body, real nitro cellulose finish and a real ebony fingerboard. the guitar was long ago fitted with 70's DiMarzio double white PAF pickups, it's been refretted, Grovered and ready to rock. Pickup rings, pickguard and knobs have been changed and there is a small professionally filled hole between the controls from a removed coil tap mini toggle switch which is hardly noticeable and an extra strap button hole on the back of the body. It still retains it's original pots, all intact which date to 1974. A killer sounding players grade guitar with loads of mojo.
