A very fine French violin bow made by Emile August Ouchard ca. 1935, certified by J.F. Raffin in Paris. E.A. Ouchard was one of the greatest French bowmakers of 20th century. His bows are among the best and most beautiful, made in artistic way with great talent.
This is an exceptional example of the maker's work in excellent state of preservation with all original parts.
The stick is dark brown pernambuco of superior quality and figuration, round, with perfect balance between strength and flexibility, first class, soloist's level tonal quality and naturally easy, wonderful handling. The length of the stick is 72.6 cm and the weight is 60.5 g.
