A very fine French certified violin bow made by Louis Thomassin ca. 1890. L. Thomassin was excellent bow maker. He came to Paris in 1872 and worked with great F.N. Voirin for 13 years.
This is a SUPERB EXAMPLE, SUITABLE FOR A SOLOIST with a rare combination of a wonderful tonal quality and equally fine level of handling.
The stick is dark red brown pernambuco of excellent choice, round, strong with a perfect flexibility, perfect balance and a wonderful, solo quality sound. The length of the stick is 72.9 cm and the weight is 58 g. The bow is in a fine state of preservation.
