Antique KARL MENDLER MUNCHEN cocobolo Boehm flute with originally gold plated keys - complete restored. All original. Free of cracks on the wood or repairs. The pads and corks are new. Excellent intonation. Ready to play. The flute is made of cocobolo wood, the head is marked "Buffet Crampon Paris" and was custom made and ordered by Karl Mendler for this flute - the cocobolo wood material is the same on the tube and foot. The lip plate is made of silver. A=440H, key of C, open G#, offset G# and G holes, keys are originally gold plated, plateau key cups, all length:67.9cm. sounding length- 59.3cm. Head joint-23.3cm. embouchure-11x9.5cm. The flute was made by Karl Mendler the younger. His famous father was Theobald Bohm's shop foreman and then his partner - Boehm & Mendler. Unique museum condition flute. Including original hard case.
