Here is a historic microphone once used by JACK PAAR. Original RCA 77 microphone with original RCA base and provenance signed card attached.While it is a historic microphone it is also a very collectible original RCA 77 ribbon microphone with the original RCA stand.Beautiful art deco microphone, black and chrome with matching base. This is NOT a prop mic and may still work.Document card is firmly attached to bottom from WGAR announcer Joe Mayer. Card reads that Jack spoke 3,500,000 words though this mike. It was presented from Jack PAAR to (?), and is not signed by Jack Paar. Exactly as it was when acquired. The WGAR flag on top is hard, appears to be made of ceramic?Microphone is all complete inside (see last photo) and out. Has original RCA parts, shock mount, mounting yoke, strain relief, etc. Mic has not been tested. I have always kept it as a piece of broadcasting history and never tried to test or restore it. It is all original condition.Also included is a book he wrote, "P. S. Jack Paar", first edition. Both were presented to a fellow announcer at station WGAR. I acquired them 10-15 years ago and I am selling just as acquired.As the photos show, the microphone is original and complete.Jack Paar was talk show host of "The Tonight Show" from 1957 to 1962, the original Tonight Show. He worked at WGAR prior to that. In addition to his many entertainment accomplishments he was a well known comedian and wrote 3 books (one of which is included).The photos are part of the description and should represent the condition but please ask any questions. Nice rare historic microphone in great original condition. Microphone will be well packed into a large box for safe shipping USPS PRIORITY or FedEx unless other shipping arrangements are made.
