This is a 4/4 violin with a label that states jo Baptista Ceruti 1890, there is a pic of the label, which obviously this is a copy. It only weights 449 grams so it is very light and very loud. The bridge is fairly new and the action is very close, it is really set up more for fiddle music with a flatter bridge for easy doubles and close action for fast finger work but yet still loud but has a very mellow vibrato. There is a darker spot by the treble sound hole that was there when I bought it and has not gotten worse. The pegs are not very old(ebony) and it has a inlaid tail piece with a new gut for it. The strings are pirastro evahs which sound really good on this violin. Sorry no bow or case but will be shipped well protected and I ship FedEx or ups only with signature required and insured.
