But all this is insignificant to the playability. This guitar has been played but is still in great condition for her age.A wonderful vintage concert 1a guitar which is hand made using the finest high grade woods.The Cedar is tight grained and the CSA Rosewood is a beautiful grain only found in the very best South American woods.The action is comfortable at 4mm on the 12th low E and 3mm on the high E.This guitar is signed by Salvador Tatay on the label, and on the underside of the top again you will find this master luthier's signature and date.The heel and underside of top is stamped accordingly with the name of Salvador's guitar shop name 'Hermanos Taymar'A guitar which is well balanced and has a volume, projection and sustain only found in concert guitars. Very easy to play along all areas of the fret board. A very rare Slavador Tatay concert guitar.This concert guitar is vintage and I have fully examined the inside and out and have described how I see and hear the guitar. It is a Spanish guitar and has a very typical Spanish sound to it. Salividor and Jose Luis learnt their skills and craft of hand making fine concert guitars using the traditional methods from their father Emilio Tatay Tomás, son of the Famous Vicente Tatay Alabau who founded the Tatay Guitars shop in 1889.So Taymar (Tatay - Martí) brand name came from one root of the long reputated family guitars luthiers.The Taymar company produced many fine guitars, including high quality concert models, but very rare will you find the concert guitar hand made by either Salvador or Jose Luis. Jose Luis died nearly 30 years ago, and at that time the Taymar Company went into bankrupcy. Salvador is nowdays enjoying his retirement by fishing with his boat in Valencia.
