Rare vintage "Firebrand" aka "Firebird" Reverse model 2348 from the early/mid 1970s. A true "lawsuit" guitar! This Star Field was made by Hoshino Gakki in Japan along side the same Ibanez model. It was a lesser known brand perhaps for the Japanese market and therefore considerably more rare than Hoshino's more prominent lines. Except for the truss rod cover imprint, it is virtually identical to the very rare and highly collectable Ibanez 2348 "Firebrand" but on the rarity scale this one is off the chart. This guitar has a beautiful mahogany body that is correctly terraced front and back. Contour cutaway. Huge range up the neck. Very light thinline style body. Nicely sculpted headstock. The tailpiece cover has the lyre engraving that's more-or-less identical to the Gibson/Ibanez version. Same with the tremolo arm which is very cool. Full of naturally reliced mojo with the tone to match. This beauty has been played and enjoyed and has the nicks, dings and buckle rash consistent with its forty years but it hasn't been abused. An honest aged relic! The frets have plenty of life left and everything works as it should. It stays in tune remarkably well. Chrome pieces are in very good overall condition considering their age. The pick guard is an exact reproduction because the "Firebird" logo had been rubbed off the original, but is included. Overall a very cool looking guitar with tons of personality. Includes its cool original plush lined case in great condition except for where a four inch portion of the metal edging has separated from the case. From a pet and smoke free environment. Blue tape on case is for inventory purposes only and will be removed prior to shipping.BUY WITH CONFIDENCE! AND THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT FEEDBACK!Great seller.
