Vintage GRAINGER and CAMPBELL set of bagpipes, age: 40 years (circa 1972).Set with imitation ivory (hence the yellowing); bag cover and cording are black.Set includes two chanters, both marked GRAINGER. Their soles differ slightly in style and thickness.The pipe bag is a CANMORE, dated 2003.Set also includes a period piper's handbook (c.1970 though copyrighted '64), a practice chanter (DUNBAR), and a yellow toolbox for a case.The bass drone has a few light scratches and a little gouge in the wood (4mm long 2 deep-see last photo). The rest is in wonderful condition, nothing is chipped or missing.The bass top is 11.5" long, the tenor tops are 8" long and the chanters are 13" and 13.25" long (mostly because one has a thicker sole).If you have any further questions about this set, please feel free to ask.
