PROJECT 1976 Gibson J-50 Acoustic Guitar (886)
Physical ConditionThis guitar is a super cool vintage piece with it's fair share of scratches, dings, and general wear. To start, there are multiple cracks around the sides of the body. Most of which are long cracks, and one large square hole that has been patched up. All of the cracks have been repaired and seem sturdy, but more than likely aren't professionally done and may need further attention. To start, the top is cracked on the treble side of the soundhole, starting just behind the bridge, and ending somewhere under the pickguard. Otherwise, the top has LOTS of scratches and dings. Above the soundhole has some strumming scratches, and quite a few other scratches and scuffs. The neck heel has lifted slightly which may need reset and closed up. The back is dinged and scratched up, but no cracks or breaks; just some heavy finish checking present. The back of the neck has some finish checking as well, with a few dings here and there from being leaned up against things over the years. The fingerboard is healthy with no cracks or trenches dug out. The headstock, front and back, are in good condition but following suit, have a fair share of scratches and dings. Two tuners are not original and don't match, and the remaining four may also be unoriginal. The top of the guitar is bowed slightly as well. Nut has been changed as well. With just a bit of love, this vintage Gibson will be a super player!
FretwearFrets are worn but but the guitar is still playable!
ActionMedium action, could use some attention. This guitar actually plays easily and sounds GREAT despite the rough physical condition!
