This Paxman model 23E, with titanium valves, is Paxman's version of a Geyer style of horn, with a medium wide bell flare. It has a beautiful clear, well-centered sound at any volume, like a traditional Geyer horn, while still retaining the warmth and character of sound that a Paxman horn is well known for. The upper register is easy and free. It plays evenly through all registers, and has a particularly even switch between the F and B flat sides of the horn. It projects incredibly well in a huge hall, but is also an excellent chamber and solo instrument. It is in great condition, with minor small dents from normal professional use over 16 years by one owner.  The valves have great compression. It is unlacquered, and does not come with a case. It is truly a beautiful horn to play!
