Epiphone Sheraton 1964 Reissue Assembled In USA (AIUSA)  - Rare  – Collectable If you know about these guitars you will know the body and neck were made in the Terada factory in Japan from high grade materials and then shipped to the Nashville Gibson USA factory where they were finished with nitrocellulose lacquer and fitted with USA pickups and electronics and hardware This is the exact same guitar as the John Lee Hooker 1964 Ltd Edition Sheraton but without the JLH truss rod cover and signature pick guard which were discontinued after John Lee Hooker passed away in 2001 This rare instrument is a faithful reproduction of a 1964 Epiphone Sheraton. The specs include the multi-bound original body shape and materials, original style large headstock with 17 degree pitch, solid centre block, one piece Mahogany neck, neck joint at 19th fret, Rosewood fretboard with original style mother-of-pearl and abalone block and triangle inlays, two gold plated "New York" mini humbuckers, gold Grover tuners, multi-layer "E" pickguard, and "Frequensator" tailpiece with Tune-omatic bridge. Some say the quality of these guitars are as good as the Gibson Custom Shop guitars – all I know is that they are very rare. In fact this mint example in natural finish with the frequensator tail piece is said to be one of only 50 ever made. Guitar plays perfectly and sounds great. It is generally in mint condition except very minor play wear to the gold plating on the frequensator tail piece and has a tiny dent on the back of the neck behind the 7th fret but I am only pointing this out so you are aware it is hardly visible and you cannot feel it when playing. Comes with original Epiphone hard case, Epiphone warranty and hang tag. Very rare top quality semi acoustic archtop which is becoming very collectable Any questions please ask! Collection preferred BUT I am willing to post at buyers expense – fully insured will cost approx. £45 (I will make sure it is very well packaged)
