Epiphone Limited Edition Korina Flying-V with CaseThe Flying-V electric guitar was first released in a very limited run in the late 50s and was one of the most radical designs of its time. Many of those rare originals wound up in the hands of rock’s greatest guitarists including Jimi Hendrix and Lonnie Mack along with Keith Richards and Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones. Today original Flying-V’s are some of the most expensive instruments on the vintage market. Embraced by classic rock and metal fans, the Flying-V is one of the most recognized electric guitars in the world (coming in second only to the Les Paul) and is one of the most popular designs in Gibson and Epiphone’s long history. This legendary Flying-V has an all Korina (also known as African Limba) body with modern hardware and superb vintage voiced Alnico Classic™ Humbuckers.This Ltd. Edition Korina Flying V is powered by an Alnico Classic humbucker in the neck position and an overwound, slightly hotter Alnico Classic Plus humbucker in the bridge position. Similar in tone to the original “PAF style” humbuckers, Alnico Classics use Alnico-V magnets for a higher output with enhanced mids and highs. Controls include individual volume controls for each pickup and a master tone with vintage style Black “Top Hat” knobs.Condition Notes:
This is a never owned, professionally refurbished instrument. These guitars are acquired from the manufacturer by the largest factory authorized refurbishing center in the country. Here they are fully inspected by a certified technician, and any necessary adjustments or repairs are made. Most are simply given a professional set up and tuning. The guitars are sent there for many reasons, including minor cosmetic flaws and/or minor repairs.All our guitars come with a new standard factory setup. These guitars are the next best thing to buying new without paying full price! The word "used" is stamped in small letters on the back of the headstock and a new serial number is given to the instrument to prevent false warranty claims.This guitar was rated NVR (No visible repairs), which means no issues were found and no repairs were necessary. This guitar is in excellent ++ condition with a few, very small imperfections on the back of the guitar (could not capture them in the pictures). No visible playwear.
