The Fender Classic Player Baja Tele Blonde Maple takes great inspiration from one of the all-time classic electric guitars, the 52 Tele. Although this super-cool looking guitar serves up a slice of retro vibe it is the blend of modern and old that make this particular model stand out from the crowd. Fender Guitars have developed the Classic Player Baja Telecaster Blonde to combine the best bits of modern Tele design and retro vintage cool. For example included here is a 4 way pickup selector and S-1 Switching. That certainly wasn't available on the 52 Tele! What does this do for this electric guitar? It seriously expands the sounds of the Custom Shop pickups. The S-1 Switching system is normally found in the high-end American Deluxe Series of Fenders. The neck on this Fender is beefy much like the early 50s Telecasters. A soft-V profile neck shape provide comfort for many players and definitely has an old-school feel. A 9.5 inch radius fingerboard lets you drop the action a little lower than the 52 Tele as there is slightly less curve. A three saddle vintage bridge and vintage style locking machine heads complete the line-up. It you are a fan of the 52 Tele but are looking for a more modern set-up, the Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster Blonde Maple might just fit the bill.
