Rickenbacker Model 425 Fireglow Vintage Electric Guitar 1969 USA
Estimated price for orientation: 1 899 $
Category: Electric Guitars
Class:
Description Brand: Rickenbacker Exact Year: 1969 Model: Vintage Series: Vintage
This rare guitar is in pretty good shape for its age. The pickup and wiring look original. The toaster style pickup is a single. From what I have read the switch is a multi tone circuit. It does switch to two tones, but the forward position seems to be not working or perhaps designed to mute. It is missing the bridge cover. The nut has a shim. I'm not sure if knobs or strap buttons are original. Comes with brown case, right era maybe, but a loose fit. Extra unknown black hat side screw knob included as it was in the case. The neck is pretty straight and currently very little relief. It has twin truss rods. I think a little more relief would allow better action adjustment. Frets have moderate to heavy wear, divots and flattened. About 1/8 " at 12th fret, low strings are a little buzzy from first to seventh fret cause of very little relief. The guitar is as I found it, but I did replace the strings with d'addario exl 110 lights. I felt it best to leave set up and adjustment and fret attention to the buyer. Sold as is and no returns please. I usually offer 2 usps shipping options and UPS ground. Message or contact seller for any detailed questions, I do have a few other photos too! Thanks-Ken
