The Fire Storm is a beautiful solid hand carved F-style mandolin built here in my shop, in Greenbrier Arkansas. I call this one the "Fire Storm" because my husband says they look like they are on fire. This one has the red hand rubbed shellac with lacquer finish to protect it. The top is made of solid hand carved and graduated spruce with custom fit scalloped spruce tone bars. The neck is fitted with a rosewood fretboard, polished bone nut (3 cm wide neck) and an adjustable truss rod. The neck, back and sides are carved from solid flamed maple. This mandolin has a beautiful woody tone, and excellent volume. The Fire Storm has an active system BelCat Preamp with bridge pickup for those that wish to power play all through the night . The case shown is included. The action on the mandolin strings is great, and it plays very easy. If you are going to get a mandolin, get a Mia, made in the USA.
