Here's a gem of a little vintage US built guitar! Great action (4mm at 12th)! Very comfortable to play with a small body and small neck. Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, awesome Gibson tone! This guitar has crazing in the finish and a few nicks and scratches, as any 50 yr old guitar will, lots of mojo here! It also has an adjustable saddle so there is some user control over the action if needed. It truly is a fantastic little guitar, the only reason I am selling it is the 4 cm neck width is a little too small for me. Historically, there was a major neck repair at the head, I believe this to be a factory repair done 50 years ago. The guitar has two serial number stamps inside, 43084 and 48003. I believe it was most likely sold, returned, repaired and resold as a factory second, explaining the second serial number. The weirdest thing is the serial numbers both point to 1962 according to the guide available from the Blue Book of Guitar Values, yet I think this model was only made from 1967-1969. Go figure, Gibson and strange serial number stuff. Somebody with a sense of humour also replaced the truss cover with one from an ES series electric that says "STEREO" on it. Comes with the Levis padded leather strap in the pictures. Here's a chance to own an awesome sounding vintage Gibson guitar for much less than most Gibsons! I'm not much of a player but I produced a small video so you can get at least some idea of the tone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UA3LkSmqlI (if you copy the address and paste it in your browser's address bar you will see the video) I am also selling an Oscar Schmidt Stellaand a 1960s Kay parlor, if you're into blues guitars, take a look at my other auctions. I have turned the string tension down to almost nothing because it will likely go through a number of temperature and pressure changes in transit, I have wrapped the guitar itself in bubblewrap and put it into a box with a suitable amount of crush zone and crushed paper wadding to suspend the guitar inside it. I try to keep my shipping fees as close to cost as possible and refund any significant overage to the buyer. I will combine multiple purchases for shipping - except in cases where the item is very heavy, there is often too much risk of damage in transit. Please feel free to contact me if you need information, this is really more a hobby than a business, I may be a few hours responding (depending on my work schedule) but I am a reasonable guy and I answer every question to the best of my ability.
