This is a great sounding HD-28, I've been playing for 35 years and honestly this is one of the best sounding guitars I've owed. Price Drop! FANTASTIC SOUND ! This is the best sounding Martin I've ever owned, I've owned lots of Martins from D-42, D-40, D-28, D-18GE, 00028ec, D-15. vintage and new. I really hate parting with it. It has been played and not sat in a case put away. It's really opened up beautifully. It has a great top with tight grain in the middle and wider grain as it reaches the outer bouts. It has that Martin bass growl that Martin is known for. I play in a christian band and the band members say with the sound of this guitar you don't ever need another one. So why am I selling it? because I need a thinner bodied guitar at my age. I grew up on a thin bodied guitar and it just fits me best, so I have a custom shop 000-28 Custom, which is the baby brother to the HD-28.There are a few dings on the top and I've tried to capture them in the pictures but you cannot see them unless you rotate the guitar in certain lighting. I don't know of any way to properly show the small dings other than if you can see them in the pictures I've attached. See pictures 2,3,11,12.I used a Fishman dual blend sound hole pickup because I did not want to alter this guitar, I have some waverly tuners and would not put them on because some believe the changing in mass on the headstock takes away away some of the tone. I would no way want to change the SOUND of this Guitar. It's awesome! And I've had a lot of Martins and Bourgeois and others. This is a CREAM OF THE CROP. Again I'm only selling due to ergonomics. It has opened up very nicely and as you know it has to be played. It's Smooth!I believe it's a 2014 S/N 1824***No sales outside the USA. I can only ship within the USA.
