My friend is the original owner who  bought this guitar in 1978 from Brian Guitars in New Haven Connecticut. She was teaching guitar lessons there at the time, and she hand picked this guitar from many others because of the beautiful tiger stripes on the neck. She says the guitar has a lot of punch and would be great for blues,  rock, or jazz.. It comes with the original Gibson hard shell case. This is a great investment that goes up in price every year. An ad in the November 1978 issue of Rolling Stone refers to the Gibson Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary model as "The Most Les: Les Paul's Silver Anniversary is Your Golden Opportunity." The ad prophesizes that "it's the kind of guitar they'll be talking about 25 years from now."
