We have checked the condition and the originality of this guitar and it is to a very high standard!  Gibson is the most recognisable and collectable brand when it comes to vintage guitars. Example after example prove that these are some of the greatest guitars ever produced for the money. They have the perfect vintage feel with tone for days!  This is one of the first Melody Makers ever produced! With its launch in 1959, this is merely a year afterwards. It sports the single cutaway (later changed to double cutaway) thin slab-style mahogany body and one-piece mahogany neck, single single-coil pickup and wraparound bridge - it's one for the enjoyed investments! Serial number is 0 4381.Weighs in at 6.4lbs.Service History  We pride ourselves on our inspection and set up of each guitar, making this ready to plug in and play.  Please note that this is set up to a standard The Music Locker deems saleable. Personal preference may differ so please see the Product Details section above.  Cosmetic Inspection  Awesome condition, especially for the age! There are a few very small dings, as pictured, but no breaks or cracks! Very rare on a guitar like this, especially with the old style headstock! There are two small circular marks to the back, which looks like it could have been caused by a buckle of some sort. Nothing of significance, but please check the pictures. Please have a close look at the high resolution photographs below, as these form part of our description.  Originality Having checked this all out, in our opinion, this is all original. A very rare occurrence! Summary  Overall, this is a very rare and collectable guitar.
