1963 Vega Pete Seeger Long Neck Banjo. True survivor from the folk scare days. The banjo shows wear from being played but it structurally very sound. It has a frosted Remo head, and a old 1/2" bridge. The action is good and the neck plays well in all registers. It gas a railroad spike for the 5th string at the 12th fret. Frets show some wear but have plenty of life in them. The tuners are original and work fine. The tailpiece is slightly bent, but is still functional. This is a very versitale banjo, with the great Tub O Phone sound! There are usaul nicks and dents and scratches, in the finish, and some minor corrosion in some of the metal hardware to be associated with such a vintage instrument. Non of which deters from it's playabilty, or sound. Ships with original Lifton case that is very worn, (that should be replaced or repaired in the near future though it does serve it's function now. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. The banjo will be professionally packed.
