1995 Nighthawk Gibson Guitar with original hard case/signed by Jimmy Buffett/played once • Year: 1995• Manufacturer: GIBSON USA• Model: Nighthawk ST3• Case: Original Hard• Color: Fireburst or Sunburst???• Condition: near mint This is a 1995 Nighthawk Gibson guitar serial # 92365431 which shows manufacture at the end of August 1995. It was played on stage only once at a Jimmy Buffett concert in Cincinnati, Ohio at Riverbend a month later in September 1995. The winner of the guitar competition one night of the 3-night concert in 1995 (Sept 22, 23, 25) had it signed by Jimmy Buffett. We bought it from the winner and it has been in its case in our possession since that time. So we believe it to be in about as near "mint" condition aspossible. The original NightHawk series of guitars, which were the first Hawks, were launched in January 1993 and discontinued in 1999. They gained immediate recognition from the industry, winning the top design award from The Music Trades Magazine. The Hawk series guitars were designed by JT Riboloff, who has since moved on to designing at other guitar companies. This original series designed by Riboloff is unique, in some ways "taking on the Fender's territory". We believe this to be the description of this guitar:(We are not guitar aficionados, so please advise.) Body - 1/4" figured Maple top, Mahogany backNeck/Profile - Mahogany/ Narrow taper roundFingerboard/Inlay - Ebony/ CrownScale/Nut Width - 25.5"/ 1.62"Binding - Multi-ply top, Single-ply fingerboard/headstockBridge/Tailpiece - string-through-body, Floyd Rose Tremelo (option)Hardware - GoldPickups - M-Series mini-humbucker, NSX single-coil (option), M-Series slanted humbuckerControls - Master volume, master tone (push/pull on three-pickup model), 5-way switchFinish - Antique Natural, Fireburst, Translucent Amber This guitar comes with the original hard case, with shroud intact. The lock still has the original instruction book and the lock is still set at 000.The case has a couple of places at the edges which are imperfect, so please view photos carefully. As near as we can determine, this may be the only thing keeping the item from being in "mint" condition, but again, please view the photos carefully because there are no returns on this item.Payment must be posted within one day after auction end.
