2007 Duff F-5 Mandolin the closest thing to a Lloyd Loar !!
This is a remarkable instrument that has it all, tone, power, playability, aesthetics and appointments, Paul Duff started making Lloyd Loar quality replicas in 1982 in Western Australia, made with a beautiful Spruce top, highly figured Maple one piece back, sides and neck in a traditional sunburst varnished finish, flat Ebony fretboard, James tailpiece, Waverly tuning gears with pearl knobs, tone bar bracing and Fern headstock inlay, a high octane, traditional sounding mandolin featuring a dry, woody, well balanced tone and outstanding volume, definitely shines as a bluegrass instrument, she has a Tight chop and Big volume, near mint overall & comes with a nice hard case.
