The back has a moderate amount of buckle rash and the back edges has small dents and dings. Very cool natural maple and Black Bullseye graphics on the rough milled top with chrome hardware. The guitar has a nice action and the rounded profile maple neck with an ebony fretboard has a great feel. The frets are in excellent condition. The EMG 81 and 85 pickup combination is the same as Zakk uses. They have a great tone with a strong output. The guitar is equipped with a tune-o-matic bridge stop bar tail piece and Grover tuners. This is a great looking, feeling, playing and sounding Les Paul. Includes the original Gibson gig Bag. Serial number 027490356 Weight 7 lbs. 1 oz OVERVIEW A rough-and-ready signature Les Paul powered by EMG pickups. This Zakk Wylde guitar takes the raw, unrefined power of Gibson's classic BFG and matches it with the look of Zakk Wylde's personal and treasured Les Paul Standards. From his early work with Ozzy Osbourne, to his seminal playing with Black Label Society, to his distinctive solo outings, Zakk Wylde has distinguished himself as an incredibly fierce lead player. Gibson once again honors Wylde in creating an electric guitar that features his trademark bullseye graphics, EMG humbucking pickups and raw, unfinished neck with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays, and a rounded '50s profile.The Gibson Les Paul BFG Zakk Wilde Signature Guitar is not an ordinary Les Paul ” including the rough mill surface and texture of the body and neck. All of the guitar's hardware is finished in chrome, including its Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. The pickups are exactly the same as the ones in Wylde's original guitar: an EMG85 in the neck position, and an EMG-81 in the bridge position. The EMG-85 has more measurable output, but its frequency response and string interface are different, yielding a warmer and more natural tone and delivering balanced and uniform string response. The wide aperture of the coils produces a beefier low end and fatter top end, with loads of output that doesn't get muddy. The EMG-81 is its perfect compliment, working best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume and producing a razor sharp attack with incredible sustain for brilliant soloing.
