We were able to snag and reel in this insane Reverend Flatroc prototype here at Monster Music this week, and boy is this baby a real catch! This was one of the original prototypes as Reverend was making the transition from a one man shop to the explosive global brand that they are today. It is really cool to see the things that stayed when the Flatroc shifted into production (the Revtron pickups, etc) but also the things that changed (the semi-hollow swoosh that appeared soon after in the Manta Ray, the Bigsby, the location of the controls, etc.) Also interesting is how the Rock Orange color was much closer to Red than it would eventually be. This guitar plays with perfection and ease, and has that "just right" feel that you'd expect. We pride ourselves on being the biggest and most fully stocked Reverend dealer in the US, so being able to get a hold of such a meaningful piece of genuine Reverend history is huge for us and we are very glad to be able to share it with everyone!
