Why spend $3500 US on the standard deluxe George Benson Signature Model GB10 when you can purchase a brand spanking new 1998 vintage George Benson Signature Model GB10-JS (Jazz Standard) for less than $1700 US? This George Benson GB10-JS jazz standard guitar is brand new, was placed in storage by original owner and not played and yours to personalize now--see photos provided (not even a mark on the pick guard). For your information, historically, this Jazz Standard George Benson Signature Model Sunburst (1996 to 1999) hollow body was built in Korea between the 1997 to 1998 time frame when South Korea rivaled Japan for its quality manufacturing & production technique. It has the top notch Japanese/Korea craftsmanship!!!
It was called the Jazz Standard GB10-JS model because it was tailored for jazz standard playing in the style of George Benson and Wes Montgomery. The mildly or slightly thicker wound strings deployed on E, A and D also aid in standalone playing if you ever have to gig SOLO to show your chops to the fullest. Players like Joe Pass & Herb Ellis would enjoy playing this guitar in standalone solo mode. Strings type and gauge can be easily changed by competent guitar techs to suit your playing style and mode. Should also mention that the inlay details, the famous GB pickups and the wood construction are all top of the line and exemplify work done by experienced Japanese & Korean Luthiers of that time period.
