Description
Brand: Gibson Model: SG Standard
Model Year: 1994

Up for auction is a 1994 Gibson SG Standard in absolutely outstanding condition. It was Made in the USA in Nashville in 1994 which was Gibson's centennial year. This is noted with a different serial number arrangement than other 90's SG's. It has the Heritage Cherry finish along with chrome hardware, which includes chrome Grover tuning pegs and chrome Humbucker pickups, 490R and 498T. It has a bound Rosewood fretboard on a one piece Mahogany neck, which is very straight. It will come shipped in the case shown in the pictures. The guitar was set-up about a year ago and has not been played since. The guitar is in near mint condition considering it's age. It has been in its case in storage for most of the last 15 years and was played very sparingly prior to that. It has seen very little use in its lifetime, which is clear as seen in its excellent condition. There are some minor scratches on the face and there is some pick scuffing on the pick guard. There are also some minor scratches on the back of the body as a result of belt rub. With that said, most of these imperfections are not very noticeable and the lacquer finish of the guitar is still very much intact, even on the backside. It is still reflective all over the guitar as I've tried to capture in the photos. You will be hard pressed to find an original guitar of this vintage that is in such excellent condition. This is a 1994 and I've confirmed it with a Gibson USA representative. The serial number is 94029584. The SG's that start with 94 were built in Nashville in 1994 and have a unique serial number arrangement due to 1994 being Gibson's centennial year.
