VOICE-OVER LEGEND! Shure SM5B Dynamic Microphone - NICE CONDITION!
Estimated price for orientation: 899 $
Category: Vintage Pro Audio Equipment
Class:
Description Type: Vintage Microphone Model: SM5B Brand: Shure Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
Offering what is called "one of the best voice-over microphones ever made". The SHURE SM5B Dynamic Microphone was introduced in the late 60's...discontinued by the mid 70's, but is still one of the most sought after mics for broadcasters and voice-over artists today. Those large foam windscreens allow the voice-over talent to get right up on it, capturing all that resonance without popping. They also perform very well in music recording applications, from delicate acoustic guitar, violin, or most any electrified instruments. I acquired this mic from a long time radio guy who had it in his collection for many years. This one is super clean, well cared for, and tested just before this listing...it sounds PERFECT with good output! Original paint, new foams, original cloth wire. Standard mic stand thread. Look carefully...obviously little used and well loved. These mics are being snapped and disappearing fast. If you ever wanted one, now is the time.(Internet research) The SM5B has something that makes everyone sound great.....a relatively huge blimp-like mic with two large two-tone gray windscreens. Those fat windscreens mean you get right up on it to capture all the rich vocal resonance without popping, making it a favorite among announcers and voice-over artists. It also has a "humbucking coil", which prevents the pickup of hum from all the various electronic gear in the studio and transmitter. * International buyers welcome, using EBAY's Global Shipping * Be sure to check out my other vintage microphones for sale
