Up for sale is this vintage Frank Kaspar Chicago hand faced, hard rubber Bb clarinet mouthpiece, marked "L". Tip opening c.044", medium facing curve. Good vintage condition, clean facing. A fellow ebayer just wrote to share this :
The L to the left of the facing indicates that this mouthpiece was originally custom designed for Robert Lindemann, Principal Clarinetist with the Chicago Symphony under Frederick Stock.Lindemann was schooled in Germany and played Oehler system clarinets and Germam style mouthpieces. Kaspar made these mouthpieces for Lindemann's students. The one you are selling dates from the late 1940's-1950's. A customer of mine is retiring and selling off reeds, (some of which have been stored for years) along with mouthpieces, ligatures, barrels, and reed trimmers. Please check out for more great items! My Qualifications I am a trained woodwind instrument tech and past member of NAPBIRT (the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians) working out of a private shop in Central VA and have restored many instruments for sale on ebay. I believe that my 12 years of positive feedback speaks for itself and that you will be happy with this item! Please check out the Vintage Clarinet Doctor on Facebook! Why Vintage Clarinets? I believe that vintage clarinets represent one of the most underpriced and underutilized resources on the market. While there is some junk out there, there are many makes and models that are good to excellent players if properly overhauled and that will provide satisfaction to collectors, students and even pro players while saving the buyer hundreds of dollars! Nickel and grenadilla wood are increasingly finite resources and the craftsmanship on some of these old horns makes them a real pleasure to own. Why not try a vintage clarinet from the Vintage Clarinet Doctor see the difference for yourself? Shipping and Returns Shipping is free in the USA or as arranged internationally. I accept checks, wire transfers, Paypal or postal m.o. and ask that you pay within 4 days or the item will be relisted. Paypal ONLY for international bidders. Please let me know if you desire insurance so I can add it to your invoice! Please examine photos and ask all questions before bidding. No returns. 0 feedback bidders please contact me before bidding.
