I am selling this instrument for the Estate of old friends. I not an expert on vintage Tenor banjos but I will gladly answer any questions I recieve. I have a day job so anticipate that it may take me as long as 36 hours to investigate your question and compose a reply. However if you have a question; it seems likely that others may be wondering the same thing so I will typically post the answers as soon as I am able to. This one is setup for the correct CGDA tenor tuning and not the octave-mandolin GDAE tuning which some Irish musians prefer. 19.5" scale length. 21 fret extended fingerboard Missing some inlay from the rear of the headstock Approx. 12 inch Remo Weather King Head is currently installed Nice vintage hardshell Case No Knot tailpiece If you have any questions or comments please use the eBay "ask a question" feature in the "Questions and answers about this item" which is below. I am liquidating a collection of musical instruments for a family.
The collection is primarily comprised of tenor banjo's but includes a variety of instruments. Not listed but forthcoming listing to include the following Tenor Banjo's: Orphum No 3's, Howard, B&D Senorita, Paramount (Lange) Style B, Liberty, Sterling, and a Ludwig Capitol.
Othe instruments include: Gibson MB 1920's with the pickguard, Washburn Banjo-Mandolin, Orpheum No.1 Banjo Mandolin, 1977 Dobro Square neck (6-string), a 1924 Gibson A4 with Virzi Tone producer which had a non-original pickguard at some point in its past (the screw-hole in the side remains un-cleated), Epiphone EM-50 mandolin, and a No-Name 5-string which sounds remarkable and plays really well and would make a great student instrument.
I am listing only a few instruments at a time. So if you are interested in any of these other instruments drop me a note and I may list the one you mention sooner instead of later.
