August 1972 Rickenbacker 4001 Jetglo (Black) with pre-72 features. I believe this is the 1st time its been on the Market since it was new ( thats what I was told, anyway)
"Short" headstock, full width crushed pearl inlays, clear plastic finger/thumb rest, checkered binding, Grover "Cracker Jack Box" Wavy Button tuners, toaster pickup......this bass is 100% original with the exception of the strap buttons ( Schaller straplox, pretty easy to get Rick buttons)
The string mute is even intact !!
Some edge finish/binding checking , a couple small chips in the binding in the upper horn, probably from a strap. Some scratches here & there that would be associated with playing. Very little fret wear. They don't need any attention.
Necks is straight. Both truss rods work as they should. Action is great. Electronics all original & work as they should. Pots date 72.Weighs 9.01 lbs.Both truss rods function as they should.
Overall Excellent- condition. Comes with a Gator TSA/ATA hardshell case. Theres a few of theses on the Market, but they all seem to have something "wrong" or changed parts.
