1989 Fender Telecaster made in Japan. This guitar belong to my father so my knowledge to what is going on with this one is very limited. I do know he had it this way as far back as I can remember. Neck pickup is a mid eighties lace sensor humbucker before Fender took them in for all of their Strat plus models. There is a switch installed which I think it acts as a phase splitter for the lace sensor. It may even be a coil tap but I do not hear a tremendous difference in sound when I hit the switch so I think it just runs in series or parallel. The bridge pickup should be the original one and sounds like a vintage Telecaster as it should. My father had a tendency to scratch off the Japan logos on most of its guitars which this would be one of them so the neck is missing the made in Japan logo as it has been scratched off. Other than that the neck is in really good condition with minor scratches throughout. The body has paint chips scratches Nicks and so forth throughout the entire body. This guitar was a wide range humbucker which the sensor was installed shortly after the purchase.. the guitar sounds very good with a lot of tone options. It is well used and shows clear signs of use. It is being sold as is where is and only and the United States with insurance for the price of purchase
