Up for your consideration is a rare 5-string Italian cello, signed by Ermanno Squilla in 1953. This is a beautiful full size 4/4 Cello without any cracks, and overall it is in good condition with normal wear from use. The fingerboard has the same light chocolate color as that of the five pegs. The cello has not been set up to playable condition yet. To be included with the cello are finetuners and a blank uncut bridge. Inside the cello is a label with Ermanno Squilla's signature:       Ermanno Squilla Fece in Alatri      l'anno 1953      No.5 Measurements:        Length of back:    75.5 cm       Total length:      122 cm Ermanno Squilla was born in Alatri, Italy, in 1910. He made good violins and cellos, as well as equally fine guitars, which are much sought after by guitarists. He was once a prize winner at the string-instrument competition held in Bagnacavallo, Italy. This fine cello would be an excellent choice for those players who wish to have more fun playing those difficult Cello Suites composed by Bach.
The cello is sold as is, and there will be no returns. So please review the photos carefully.Buyers from outside North America will need to pay much higher postage.Thank you for viewing.
